Happy First Day of School Pirates! Just a reminder that we have early dismissal today at 2:15.

Medication Reminders from Nurse Amanda:
1. All students receiving prescribed medications at school must have a School Medication Authorization Form on file.
2. All medication forms MUST completed correctly and signed by the ordering provider and a parent/guardian.
3. NO medications will be given without proper documentation.
4. NO over the counter (OTC) medications can be given without a proper order from a medical provider that is also signed by a parent/guardian.
5. Students who take routine medications for mood or behavior at school, BUT have not taken them through the summer, SHOULD restart those medications at home before school starts to lessen the chance of side effects occurring at school.
6. Please bring inhalers in the box provided by the pharmacy. Please put your student's name on their spacer.
7. For students taking the same medication at home and at school, you can request the prescription be divided into two bottles by your pharmacy. If your child goes to more than one home, request a third bottle.
8. Please bring medications to Open House to give to Nurse Amanda so that dispensing medication(s) on the first day of school is a little less chaotic.
9. ALL School Medication forms can now be found on the school website under "Nurse's Corner". When following up with your doctor, they can access the forms there.
10. If your student is prescribed medications throughout the school that must be given at school, (i.e. eye drops, ear drops, antibiotics, etc.) a completed order is REQUIRED. To access this, see #9.
Thank You!
Attention Parents!!!! If your needing help before or after School, So. Il Elite Can Help!

A reminder to our IGS Community:
To ensure the safety of all students at IGS, only our students will be allowed past the front entrance at morning drop off. This includes the first day of school. The office is still accessible to all IGS community members at this time. If a parent needs to exit their car for any reason, please park in a parking space, curbside is student drop off only. Again, this is to ensure the safety of all of our students and is not meant to be an inconvenience.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,
Mr. Vincent
The countdown is on!!!! We can't wait to see you.
