With the extreme heat forecast for the rest of the week, we are cancelling all practices and games through Friday. The girls will play in Salem on Saturday and the boys are planning to practice on Sunday. The coaches will communicate with parents any specific information as needed.

Iuka Softball Rolls Past Odin/ACA The Iuka Lady Pirates beat Odin/ACA 16-6. Kenzie C. started in the circle and recorded her first 3 strikeouts of her grade school pitching career. Katee S. came in to get the win striking out 9. She also was 4-4 at the plate with 4 RBI. Kenzie C., Emily J., Kenley C. each had 2 hits. Ava R. singled along with Elaina D., Lilly M, Kenzie M.,, Ryle W. Iuka is back in action Tuesday at home against Central City. The Lady Pirates have won five straight games! Keep it up Ladies!

Iuka Knocks Off Spring Garden. Iuka beat Spring Garden 12-0 jumping out to a lead in the first scoring 6 times. Eli B. drove in 3 runs on a hit. Zach J. drove in 2 runs and scored twice to lead the Pirates. Damon J., Robbie P., Devan J. all drove in a run. Landon W. was the winning pitcher going 3.1 allowing no hits and struck out 7. Devan J. got the final 2 outs. Great Job Pirates!

Iuka Lady Pirates beat Jasper 12-4. Kenley C. and Katee S. combined for win in circle together striking out 12. Katie S. had 2 hits including in park home run. Kenzie M. had 2 hits. Kenley C., Rylee W., , Emily J., each had a hit.and Elania D., and Ava R., had a RBI. Iuka first home game is Friday against Odin.

The Iuka Lady Pirates won the OBC Tournament title with a 6-2 win over Central City. Katee S. got the win allowing just one hit and striking out 16. Rylee W. led the team with 2 hits and 4 RBI. Emily J. had 2 RBI. Katie S, Kenley C, and Lilly M, all had a hit. Iuka plays at Jasper today. The boys represented well as they place 4th in the OBC Tournament. The boys will travel to take on Jasper.

The OBC boys and girls games are going to be played tonight, but the locations have changed. The boys will play in the 3rd place game at 4:00 at Patoka. The girls will play in the championship game at 6:00 at the Salem Little League Complex.

"If you signed up for the annual school supply giveaway, you may pick up supplies at the Iuka General Baptist Church gymnasium from 4-5PM today, August 13. Any items not picked up will be taken to the school and will be available at Open House." We have received some clothing donations in limited sizes. Anyone needing school clothes is welcome to take a look. Upcoming dates: August 12: swim party at Salem Pool August 13: school supply giveaway 4:00-5:00 at Iuka General Baptist August 14: Open House 5:00-6:00 August 15: First day of school with 2:15 dismissal.

The Lady Pirates defeated Selmaville In 8-Innings To Advance To OBC Finals The OBC Tournament semifinal game yesterday saw 3rd seed Iuka knock off #2 Selmaville 6-4 after taking the lead late in the top of the 8th inning. Katee S. struck out 13 batters and allowed 4 hits going all 8 for the win. She also had an inside the park homer which helped Iuka tie the game at 4 in the top of the seventh. Rylee W. and Kenzie C. scored the go ahead runs in international tie breaker on a passed balls. Kenzie C. added an RBI. Iuka will get top seed Central City on Monday afternoon in Central City for the OBC Tournament title at 4pm. Good luck Ladies!

In first round OBC action, the Pirates earned a 12-3 win over Field. Landon W. struck out 10 allowing 7 hits and 3 runs in 5 innings. Lucas H. and Zach J. each had 2 hits for Iuka. Trygg A., Robbie P., Lucas H., Jones and Wyatt E. each drove in a run. The Pirate will play at 4:00 today at Central City Lion's Park.

Emily J. went 3-3 with 2 of them doubles and 7 RBIs. Kenley C. went 2-2. Ava R. 2 RBIs. Rylee Wi. and Kenzie M. had an RBI each. The Lady Pirates will be back in action this afternoon as they play Selmaville at Odin Park.
