IGS is hosting our Volleyball Regional Tournament this year. We are needing a volunteer for each shift on Thursday, March 14th and a volunteer for Friday, March 15th. Please call the school to sign up. Thank you!

The Iuka Lady Pirates earned OBC regular season championship, and OBC tournament championship. Last night, the Lady Pirates defeated a very tough Selmaville group, 26-24 and 27-25. Katee Sellers, Paelynn Harris, and Kinnley Eagan were honored with All- Tournament team. We are so proud of the team! They travel to Patoka on Thursday and will host regional play next week! Go Lady Pirates!!!

Salem Township Hospital is having a Sports Physical clinic on March 3, 2024 from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

The Lady Pirates continue their hot streak coming off a perfect three week stretch. During that time they have ran their win streak to 9 straight games. Iuka vs. South Central this past Tuesday JV lost 27-25 12-25 9-15 Varsity won 24-26 25-20 15-11 On Thursday Iuka vs. Field JV lost 12-25 17-25, but Varsity won 25-14 16-25 15-12. In Scholar Bowl action this past week varsity beat Willow Grove, but fell to Odin. JV win against Willow Grove, but fell to Odin. On Thursday, Scholar Bowl Varsity and JV defeated Franklin Park. The girls volleyball team is coming off a very busy two week stretch. During that time, the varsity went 7-0 with three wins last week, including a big win over conference rival, Selmaville on 8th grade night: Last Thursday, 8th grade night: Iuka vs. Selmaville JV lost 15-25 10-25 Varsity won 26-24 25-12. The 5/6th grade boys basketball team captured 3rd place this past weekend. Congratulations young Pirates! Girls volleyball has another busy week with three games, including 8th grade night. Monday, the ladies will travel to Kell. C game starts at 5:15. Tuesday, they travel to take Odin with the C game beginning at 4:00. Then, to cap off the week, the girls will host Selmaville on Thursday, February 15. This is the night we honor our 8th graders. C game starts at 4:00.

It was a busy week in volleyball. The Lady Pirates won there 4th contest of the week. Iuka defeated Raccoon in the varsity contest last night. JV lost 16-25 15-25 Varsity won 25-12 25-15 The Lady Pirates have three games next week with Thursday, February 15 being 8th grade night. The boys 5/6 grade basketball team plays tonight in the 3rd place game at 6:30 at Selmaville. After that game Kaden, Landon, Kinnley, and Katee will be honored as part of the boys and girls all conference teams. girls team will be receiving their OBC Conference Championship award.
