REMINDER: Dental Safari is coming to Iuka Grade School Thursday, November 9th to provide dental exams and cleanings for students. There is still time to sign up. Simply scan the QR code on the flyer or go to www.dentalsafariforms.com. Please note that a dental exam is required for all students in Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grades.

Iuka beat Odin/Patoka 34-33 on a last second shot at the buzzer from Katee S. Kinnley E. finished with 16 in the win, Katee added 14. Iuka is undefeated in OBC play ahead of next week’s tournament hosted at Field and Iuka. The Lady Pirates return to action Thursday when they host Sandoval at 6 pm.

Senior Citizens Dinner is back! On December 1st, Iuka Grade School is hosting their annual Senior Citizens Dinner at noon. The dinner is for those 60 years of age or older, living in the Iuka Grade School District. Reservation must be made to the school by Tuesday, November 28th. If you have any questions, please call the school at 323-6233.

Pirate Nation: we just learned that we are hosting two girls OBC Tournament games on 11/7/2023. We are needing 2/3 people to help in the concession stand. Please let us know if you're interested in working that night. It would help us out quite a bit. Thank you

Pirate Nation: we will have our annual Halloween Parade tomorrow at 10:30. Parents and families may lineup along the parade route. We will turn North on Main Street from the school. School will dismiss at 11:30 tomorrow and there will be no school on Friday.

The boys basketball team played Grand Prairie last night. The JV team won 44-9 with 12 players scoring points. They were led by Ethan R. and Hayden D. each with 8 points apiece. Eli B. had 6 and Waylon V. added 4. The Varsity lost 45-35 The Varsity was led in scoring by Kaden C. with 11 points

The Lady Pirates defeated Selmaville last night, 50-34. It was an intense game and a tough fought team win. Katee S. Had 30 points, Kinnley E. Had 14 points, and Kenley C. contributed 6 points. The girls will be on the road at Central City this Wednesday. Game time is 6:00. The boys will have their season and home opener tonight against Grand Prairie. The first game tips off at 6:00.
