In volleyball action last night against Flora: Iuka vs. Flora JV won 25-22 18-25 15-7 Addie S had 11 pts. Sophia B had 12 pts. Varsity won 25-5 25-9 Katee S had 8 pts. Emily J had 3 kills and 13 pts. The team will head to Clay City Tuesday.

The Volleyball Pirates had success at the Central City Round Robin Tournament on Saturday! Iuka vs. Central City Won 25-18 25-19 Kenley C had 10 pts. Iuka vs. Summersville Lost 25-21 17-25 10-15 Kinnley E had 10 pts., 18 hits, and 2 kills Iuka vs. Rome Won 25-5 25-15 Katee S had 10 pts. Paelynn H had 4 kills. Kinnley E and Katee S were recognized on the All- Tournament Team.

The Iuka Fire Protection District is hosting a Valentine's Dance for Iuka Grade School students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th.

The Lady Pirates Volleyball Team are 2-0 to start their season. Iuka vs. Willow Grove JV won 25-14 25-23 Alyssa E. and Jamie M. had 5 points each. Addie S. had 6 points. Ava R. had 9 points. Sophia B. had a kill. Varsity won 25-13 25-13 Paelynn H. had 5 hits and 8 points. Kenley C. had 6 hits and 13 points. Great job ladies!!!

Scholar Bowl has been cancelled for today and rescheduled for Monday, January 29.

Last night was a very good night for Pirate Nation: In first round regional play, the Boy's Basketball team defeated Sandoval 23-18. Damon J. had 8 points and Landon W. had 6 points. The boys advance to the second round and will play Altamont Lutheran this evening at Patoka. The Lady Pirates kicked off the volleyball season last night as they beat North Clay, 25-22 and 25-16. Kenley C. had 4 points and 4 hits, Emily J. had 4 points and 5 hits, Katee S. had 5 points, and Kinnley E. had 6 points and 8 hits, and Paelynn H. had 9 points and 4 hits. The JV dropped their game. Jill S. had 2 hits. The girls travel to Will Grove on Thursday with the C game starting at 4:00.

With the ice that's being forecast for our area, Iuka Grade School will be e-Learning tomorrow, Monday, January 22. The volleyball game will be cancelled for tomorrow night.
