Cross Country change for tomorrow: FYY: We are changing the meet location to the Marion County Fairgrounds. The meet will be at 4:30, walk the course between 3:30 - 3:45. Coaches' meeting at 4:00

IGS would like to send a big thank you to the Iuka Fire Department! On October 4th, your Iuka Fire Protection District hosted the Iuka Pre-K, K and 1st grade classes to the Fire Station for some fun and education. We talked about fire safety, rode in fire trucks, sprayed some water, and even got to meet Chief the Dalmatian.

The cross country meet is canceled for today and rescheduled for tomorrow. Same time and place.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 3, will be a 2:15 dismissal.

Don't forget to get signed up for the Community Flu Shot Clinic. Bandy's Pharmacy will be here at Iuka Grade School next Friday, October 6. The appointment time start at 7:30 am for students/staff and 8am for community members. You must be signed up and have an appointment time to receive the vaccine. Also, students and minors who are receiving a vaccine must have a parent or guardian present.

The Iuka Lady Pirates defeated Odin in 1st round of regionals 17-4. Katee S. had 9 strikeouts and allowed no hits in win. She went 2-3 at plate with 3 RBIs. Rylee W. had 2 hits including a homerun and 2 RBIs, Ava R. had 2 RBIs on a hit, Kenzie M., Kenley C., and Emily J. all had a hit and RBI a piece. The Lady Pirates will be at the Salem little league complex at 4:30 today to take on Selmaville. Go Lady Pirates!!!

Iuka Grade School is proud to celebrate Constitution Week!

The Pirates win big to open regional action! Damon J. drove in four runs on three hits to lead luka Pirates past Raccoon Grade School 12-2 on Monday. Damon doubled in the first scoring one, doubled in the fourth scoring one, and singled in the fifth scoring one. luka Pirates took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Devan J. singled, and Damon J. hit into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. The Pirates scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Wyatt E. doubled, scoring one run, Landon W. grounded out, scoring one run, Damon J. singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs. Damon led things off on the bump for luka Pirates. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one. luka Pirates amassed 11 hits in the game. Robbie P. and Devan J. each collected multiple hits for luka Pirates. Damon J. and Trygg A. each stole multiple bases for luka Pirates. Iuka ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game. luka Pirates didn't commit a single error in the field. Zach J. had the most chances in the field with seven. The Pirates will travel to Altamont on Wednesday to play Altamont at 7:00. Good luck Pirates!

The PTO will be selling Smencils tomorrow morning for $1.00. We will have early dismissal tomorrow at 2:15.
