5/6th Grade and 7th/8th Grade Teams headed to Mt. Vernon!
The Iuka Grade School will be sending two teams to the Regional TeamQuest Tournament in Mt. Vernon this February. The 5th/6th Grade team of Kaden Hancock, Jaycee Powless, Grace Horton, and Ben Barcroft placed 3rd on Wednesday and the 7th/8th Grade team of Rachel Powless, Sophia Hofelich, Clay Webster, and Joe Partain placed 5th on Thursday. Each team will continue on to the Regional Tournament next month. Team Quest is a program that challenges students to apply their knowledge in a group setting to come up with an answer to a question or a solution to a problem. It also allows students to come up with their own ideas and to be creative to accomplish the challenges of the program. TeamQuest is a competitive activity which makes the students strive for the top award. The goal of the program is to encourage students and give them the opportunity to show their talents while working on a team together.
Our Team Quest Teams are chosen each year by the staff. Team Quest Team members must be quick on their feet, able to work as a team, and a good problem solver.
